Well-known areas in Colombia where coffee is grown include Antioquia, Huila, Caldas, Tolimo, Sierra Nevada, Santander and Valle de Cauca. Also called the coffee axis.
Due to the difference in height in these regions, each region has its own cup profile. There are mainly 2 types of conventional coffees, the Colombia Supremo and Colombia Excelso.

The coffee from Huila is influenced by the Magdalena River and two mountain ranges of the Andes. This combination provides spectacular conditions and unique microclimates that explain why the coffee of Huila is so delicious. The coffee represents citric
fruits, caramel and berries.
