Compared to other African countries, Kenya had a slow start in producing quality coffees. However, they managed to turn this around quickly! Due to the unique conditions such as the volcanic subsoil, high altitudes bring unique flavours to the cup.


Harvest usually takes place in central Kenya from May to July and the late crop is harvested between October and November.
